According to the Oslo Accords, the areas shown in red, surrounding Yerushalayim on three sides, are Area B under joint Palestinian civilian and Israeli military control. The areas colored in orange (Ramallah and Bethlehem) are Area A under full Palestinian sovereignty. If the intent of Oslo is seen to fruition, Yerushalayim is liable to become surrounded in the future by a Palestinian state. In addition, according to the Camp David 2000 discussions, Arab neighborhoods in Eastern Yerushalayim (shown on the map in pink) would come under full or partial Palestinian control.
